When You Need To
Build A Proof For Your Living Hours
Dear Student
Seneca said, “Many times an old man has no other evidence besides his age to prove he has lived a long time.”
How long have you been alive? How many hours you lived?
What do you have to show for all the time you got?
Most of us take time for granted. We spent hours and hours in consuming useless content or collecting the toys and gadgets.
One day, our time will end.
What if, at the end of our lives, we have to show the proof that we really live?
What if, we can say with proud that we really made something out of time given to us.
Best way to build the proof for the hours you get and utilised is to “Journal”.
Journal to think, journal to get your frustration out, journal to clear your mind, journal to empathise with yourself, journal to chart your progress.
Other best way is to work on your dream projects.
I have all the journals I used during last 10 years to take notes and record my thoughts and chart my progress.
I have journals where I organized my ideas and developed the products. I have notecards on which I organize my book reading notes and all the above, 4 books I wrote.
Don’t know how many years are left within me but this stack of journals, pages, notecards and my work tell the world that I use my time to become a better thinker. It comforts me that page after page, I try to record and reflect on my experiences. I try to live the time. It is the ultimate form of satisfaction.
What if I ask you to show your work? What do you have to show me against the time you use? You need to collect and show the wisdom and work of yours.
